Another Trick from Jeremy Shoemaker (Shoemoney). It is so Easy to Fool People and Drive Traffic to a Website.
9,185 people read this post so far!
Jeremy Shoemaker made fake picture of him holding $500 000 dollars check from AzoogleAds. He did not hide that it is a joke and it was saying on his blog that the image was made on Photoshop and everyone can post it on his blog or forum. Suddenly image appeared in numerous blogs and websites; some of them (who don’t know how to read) made sensation out of image saying that Jeremy really earned half million using AzoogleAds. Other blogs and networks accused Jeremy in lying to his own readers. Anyway, result was just great… Shoemoney blog and AzoogleAds got extra web visibility, more backlinks, higher traffic, and more leads.
Jeremy stated on his blog: “It was an amazingly good campaign for them. Its been on numerous websites who think they have discovered it was fake… even though it says it here. Good for traffic” and added in different post “I am still amazed how all these sites get duped so easily, It’s great for traffic though so I will take it”.
Here some facts and what bloggers said:
- Left Impact modified check and added shaddow and car reflection. Pretty funny.
- Nick Throlson really believed that check is real. Sorry Nick.
- Photoshop Disasters received almost 200 comments for Jeremy photo. All people believed that Jeremy is a scumbag who scam people with “Make money online” stuff.
- Pronet Advertising gave Jeremy credit as well. According some comments people believe that it is real check.
- Jeremy reached #5 spot for Horrific Photoshop Disasters on Creative Nerds.
I am wondering how many new publishers and advertisers registered with AzoogleAds because of this photo.
