432 people read this post so far!John Biggs wrote informative post on Crunch Gear comparing financial situation and traffic to Woot shopping site. He pointed that in October and November traffic to Woot dropped after collapse of sock markets but it became to recover after government stimulus packages and signs of financial stability. Take a look:

Woot is a site which sells all kinds of stuff which most people buy spontaneously. Of course, who is going to buy a t-shirt when you about to lose a job and bank about to cut your credit limit. On the graph we can see that people got extra change in their pocket and came back to their shopping addictions.
Web marketers, take this hint! Don’t complain that people don’t shop online because of recession. It is about time to relaunch your campaigns, start to blog again, publish ebooks, sell stuff, and bring new ideas.
